​Ο Γιώργος Σίσκος ξεκίνησε τα μαθήματα κιθάρας σε νεαρή ηλικία, με σκοπό να κατανοήσει τι ήταν αυτό που τον συνάρπαζε στα μέχρι τότε μουσικά ακούσματά του. Ανακαλύπτοντας τον ήχο της κλασικής κιθάρας, αντιλαμβάνεται ότι ένας καινούριος κόσμος ανοίγεται μπροστά του και θέλοντας να τον εξερευνήσει, εντάσσεται στην τάξη του Θάνου Μήτσαλα. Το 2003 παίρνει το Πτυχίο της κιθάρας από το Νέο Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης και αποφοιτά από το Ι.Ε.Κ ηχοληψίας, ενώ το 2008 παίρνει το Δίπλωμα κιθάρας από το Κρατικό Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης και έπειτα μέχρι το 2011 μαθητεύει κοντά στον Ricardo Gallen, στο Hochschule Fur Music Franz Liszt της Βαϊμάρης (Γερμανία).
         Από την πρώτη στιγμή, η προσήλωση και το ταλέντο του τον βοηθούν να αποκτήσει πολύ γρήγορα σημαντικές δεξιότητες στο όργανο, συμμετέχει σε πλήθος διαγωνισμών, παίρνοντας πάντα καλές κριτικές και άλλοτε διακρίσεις, όπως το 2ο βραβείο στους πανελλήνιους μαθητικούς αγώνες του 1996 και το 1ο βραβείο στο διαγωνισμό της Χ.Ο.Ν. το 2006. Έχει εμφανιστεί σε αρκετές συναυλίες σόλο και μουσικής δωματίου σε πόλεις της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού και έχει παρακολουθήσει Masterclasses με καταξιωμένους σολίστες.
            Μετά τα χρόνια της μαθητείας, αναλαμβάνει τον ρόλο του δασκάλου. Διδάσκει σε όλες τις παιδαγωγικές βαθμίδες, προσεγγίζοντας τις μικρότερες ηλικίες των αρχάριων μαθητών χρησιμοποιώντας ιδέες από νέες διδακτικές μεθόδους και παράλληλα βοηθά τους προχωρημένους μαθητές να εμβαθύνουν στο ρεπερτόριο και την αισθητική της μουσικής, κατακτώντας την τεχνική του οργάνου. Συνεχίζοντας την εξερεύνηση εναλλακτικών τρόπων διδασκαλίας, το 2016 παρουσιάζει το ηχοεργαστήρι της κιθάρας, μια δράση για μικρούς κιθαριστές με αφήγηση παραμυθιού, αναλαμβάνοντας την Junior εκδοχή του 5ου διεθνούς φεστιβάλ κιθάρας Θεσσαλονίκης. Το 2017 προσκαλείται στο 34ο φεστιβάλ κιθάρας Βόλου ως μέλος της επιτροπής αξιολόγησης των διαγωνιζομένων. Τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει δουλέψει με πολλές κιθαριστικές ομάδες και έχει δημιουργήσει τους Sonoros. Μαθητές του έχουν διακριθεί σε διαγωνισμούς, αποσπώντας βραβεία και άλλοι έχουν ολοκληρώσει τις σπουδές τους, παίρνοντας πτυχίο με άριστη βαθμολογία.
            Από το 2004 ως σήμερα έχει διδάξει σε διάφορα ωδεία των νομών Κοζάνης και Θεσσαλονίκης, καθώς και στα μουσικά γυμνάσια και λύκεια. Σήμερα εργάζεται στο Δημοτικό Ωδείο Πυλαίας - Χορτιάτη και το Πρότυπο Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης (Πρότυπα Εκπαιδευτήρια) ως υπεύθυνος τμήματος, όπως και στο Βαρβούτειο Δημοτικό Ωδείο Πτολεμαΐδας.
 

George Siskos started guitar lessons at a young age, in order to understand what it was that fascinated him in his musical tastes. Discovering the sound of the classical guitar, he realized that a new world was opening up before him and wanting to explore it, he joined the class of Thanos Mitsalas. In 2003 he graduates from the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki and the same year he graduates from the I.V.T. of Sound Engineering. In 2008 he receives the Diploma of Guitar from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki with Distinction and then until 2011 he studies with Ricardo Gallen at the Hochschule Fur Music Franz Liszt in Weimar (Germany).
 From the very first moment, his dedication and talent helped him to acquire important skills on the instrument. He participates in numerous competitions, always receiving good reviews and sometimes distinctions, such as the 2nd prize in the 1996 Panhellenic Student Competition and the 1st prize in the 2006 Honhellas competition. He has performed in several solo and chamber music concerts in Greece and abroad and has attended Masterclasses with renowned soloists.
 After the years of apprenticeship, he takes on the role of the teacher. He teaches at all pedagogical levels, reaching the younger age groups of beginner students using ideas from new teaching methods, while helping advanced students to deepen their knowledge of the repertoire and aesthetics of music and mastering the technique of the instrument. Continuing to explore alternative ways of teaching, in 2016 he presents the guitar sound workshop, a storytelling activity for young guitarists, taking on the Junior version of the 5th Thessaloniki International Guitar Festival. In 2017 he’s been invited to the 34th Volos Guitar Festival as a member of the evaluation committee of the contestants. In recent years he has worked with many guitar groups and has created Sonoros. His students have excelled in competitions, winning awards and others have completed their studies, obtaining a degree with excellent grades.
            Since 2004 he has taught in various conservatories in the prefectures of Kozani and Thessaloniki, as well as in music high schools. Nowadays, he works at the Municipal Conservatory of Pylaia - Hortiatis and the Protypo Conservatory of Thessaloniki (Protypa Ekpaideytiria Thessalonikhs) as Head of department, as well as at the Varvoutios Municipal Conservatory of Ptolemaida.
