An Immersive Artistic Experience in the Heart of Tuscany
The Music Diaries Piano Masterclasses offer a unique opportunity for talented pianists to deepen their artistry through three personal sessions with each of our esteemed guest professors. Designed for advanced students and young professionals, the program balances intensive musical training with cultural immersion and community.
Each participant will have the chance to perform in the festival’s Gala Concert, where an Honorary Audience Prize will be awarded—celebrating artistic individuality and stage presence.
Beyond the classroom, the experience includes a warm welcome dinner, as well as time to unwind, explore the city of Pistoia, or venture into nearby cultural hubs such as Montecatini, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, and Siena.
Accommodation is offered at Villa Magni and Villa Irene, two charming and well-equipped residences located side by side.

• Villa Magni offers flats with one or two rooms (three to four beds per room), each with its own bathroom, large living room/kitchen, and modern comforts such as heating, air conditioning, and TV. Many of the apartments are equipped with pianos, allowing students to continue practicing throughout the day.
• Villa Irene features spacious flats with four beds, a bathroom, and a communal kitchen/living area—ensuring comfort and community.

Pistoia, awarded the European Capital of Culture in 2013, is a city rich in historical and artistic charm. Its well-preserved old town invites visitors to discover over 20 historic churches, a dozen museums, and vibrant open-air markets every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Known historically as a key trading hub, Pistoia blends cultural heritage with moments of festivity and recreation, making it the ideal backdrop for a week of musical and personal inspiration.

The Piano Masterclass at the Music Diaries Festival offers an intensive and inspiring week of musical development, designed for advanced students and young professionals seeking to refine their technique, deepen their interpretative understanding, and expand their artistic voice.
Under the guidance of an exceptional international faculty--Payam Susanni, Lito Thomou, Erato Alakiozidou, and Nicola Elias Rigato—participants receive daily one-on-one lessons, group discussions, and artistic mentoring in an environment that fosters exploration, individuality, and excellence.
Set in the intimate and acoustically rich venues of Villa Magni Sala and the Sala dei Concerti at Palazzo Ganucci Cancellieri, the masterclass ensures meaningful interaction between students and teachers. Each participant works closely with all instructors, gaining insights across diverse pianistic traditions and contemporary musical thought.
Beyond individual instruction, the program expands into a broader creative framework, offering workshops in musical language, improvisation, and spontaneous expression. These sessions invite all participants—regardless of instrument—to explore music beyond the written score. Through guided improvisation, creative listening, and interactive musical games, students develop their own artistic voice, build confidence in spontaneity, and uncover new pathways between sound, movement, and meaning.
Complemented by composition workshops, student concerts, and space for artistic dialogue among a diverse, international community, the masterclass becomes more than just technical refinement—it transforms into a holistic artistic residency.
Whether preparing for competitions, recitals, or personal growth, the Piano Masterclass at Music Diaries is a deeply enriching experience at the intersection of structure and freedom, tradition and experimentation, and ultimately, music and meaning.

🇮🇹 Un'Esperienza Artistica Immersiva nel Cuore della ToscanaLe Masterclass di Pianoforte del Festival Music Diaries offrono un'opportunità unica per pianisti talentuosi di approfondire la propria arte attraverso tre sessioni personali con ciascuno dei nostri stimati professori ospiti. Pensato per studenti avanzati e giovani professionisti, il programma combina formazione musicale intensiva con immersione culturale e spirito di comunità.
Ogni partecipante avrà l'opportunità di esibirsi nel Concerto di Gala del festival, dove verrà assegnato un Premio Onorario del Pubblico, celebrando l’individualità artistica e la presenza scenica.
Oltre alle lezioni, l’esperienza include una cena di benvenuto e tempo libero per rilassarsi, esplorare la città di Pistoia o visitare le vicine città d’arte come Montecatini, Firenze, Lucca, Pisa e Siena.
L’alloggio è previsto presso Villa Magni e Villa Irene, due residenze affascinanti e ben attrezzate, situate una accanto all’altra.

• Villa Magni offre appartamenti con una o due stanze (da tre a quattro letti ciascuna), bagno privato, ampio soggiorno/cucina e comfort moderni come riscaldamento, aria condizionata e TV. Molti appartamenti sono dotati di pianoforte, permettendo agli studenti di esercitarsi anche nel tempo libero.
• Villa Irene dispone di appartamenti spaziosi con quattro letti, bagno e cucina/soggiorno condivisi, garantendo comfort e convivialità.

Pistoia, premiata come Capitale Europea della Cultura nel 2013, è una città ricca di fascino storico e artistico. Il suo centro storico ben conservato offre più di 20 chiese, numerosi musei e vivaci mercati all'aperto ogni mercoledì e sabato mattina. Conosciuta storicamente come nodo commerciale, Pistoia unisce patrimonio culturale e vivacità, rendendola lo sfondo ideale per una settimana di ispirazione musicale e crescita personale.

Music Diaries Festival non è soltanto una masterclass pianistica, ma un'intensa settimana di immersione e crescita musicale. Pensata per studenti avanzati e giovani professionisti desiderosi di perfezionare la propria tecnica e l'approccio allo strumento, fornisce una concreta opportunità per approfondire l’interpretazione musicale ed incontrare la propria 'voce pianistica' da nuovi punti di vista.

Sotto la guida di un eccezionale corpo docente internazionale -- Payam Susanni, Lito Thomou, Erato Alakiozidou e Nicola Elias Rigato — i partecipanti ricevono lezioni individuali quotidiane, momenti di confronto di gruppo e mentoring artistico in un ambiente che promuove l’esplorazione, il confronto e l’eccellenza.

Le lezioni si tengono in luoghi intimi e acusticamente curati come la Sala di Villa Magni e la Sala dei Concerti di Palazzo Ganucci Cancellieri, circondati nella bellezza di Pistoia, favorendo un’interazione significativa tra studenti e insegnanti. Ogni partecipante lavora con tutti i docenti, ricevendo stimoli e feedback da diverse scuole pianistiche, interagendo tra visioni musicali eterogenee.

Il programma è arricchito da laboratori di linguaggio musicale, improvvisazione e libertà espressiva. Questi incontri invitano tutti i partecipanti ad esplorare la musica oltre la partitura, sondando metodologie innovative e utili a trovare nuovi punti di vista. Attraverso improvvisazioni guidate, ascolto creativo e sperimentazione sonora interattiva, gli studenti rafforzano la spontaneità e scoprono nuove connessioni tra suono, movimento e significato.

Completano il percorso laboratori di composizione, concerti degli studenti e occasioni di scambio artistico con una comunità internazionale, trasformando la masterclass in una vera e propria residenza artistica.

The fee includes:

• Three individual piano lessons with our guest professors
• Daily workshops (musical language, improvisation, composition) and access to all concerts
• 7 nights of accommodation at Villa Magni or Villa Irene
• 2 dinners and 3 lunches shared with faculty and fellow participants
• Registration and administrative costs
• Access to over 50 hours of artistic activities as a listener, including all masterclasses, workshops, and performances

Στη μνήμη του Γιώργου Μαυρομουστάκη, λάτρη της μουσικής και θερμού υποστηρικτή των τεχνών, ανακοινώνεται η χορήγηση υποτροφιών σε νέους Έλληνες πιανίστες για τη συμμετοχή τους στο Διεθνές Master Class πιάνου “Touch, Tone & Technique: The Piano Master Class Series” Vol. III, το οποίο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο πλαίσιο του Φεστιβάλ Music Diaries I.W.F. στην Πιστόια της Ιταλίας.
Διαδικασία επιλογήςΗ επιλογή των υποτρόφων θα πραγματοποιηθεί μέσω βιντεοσκοπημένης ακρόασης διάρκειας έως 10 λεπτών. Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι καλούνται να αποστείλουν το βίντεό τους, συνοδευόμενο από βιογραφικό σημείωμα, μέσω email στην ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση των διοργανωτών έως τις 30 Σεπτεμβρίου 2025.
Τα αποτελέσματα θα ανακοινωθούν έως τις 10 Οκτωβρίου 2025.
Οι διοργανωτές διατηρούν το δικαίωμα να προσαρμόσουν τη δομή και τον αριθμό των υποτροφιών, ανάλογα με το επίπεδο των υποψηφίων.
Όροι συμμετοχής

• Δικαίωμα συμμετοχής έχουν όλοι οι ταλαντούχοι νέοι πιανίστες: Διπλωματούχοι, Πτυχιούχοι, Σπουδαστές Ανωτέρων Σχολών, καθώς και νεότεροι σπουδαστές με εξαιρετικό δυναμικό.
• Θα επιλεγούν έως 10 πιανίστες, οι οποίοι θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα να παρακολουθήσουν το master class χωρίς δίδακτρα.
• Η υποτροφία καλύπτει αποκλειστικά τα μαθήματα και δεν περιλαμβάνει:
  • το κόστος διαμονής (7 διανυκτερεύσεις) 28 Ιουνίου άφιξη- 5 Ιουλίου Αναχώρηση
  • τα έξοδα εγγραφής, διαμονής και διατροφής τα οποία ανέρχονται συνολικά σε 430€.

Επιβεβαίωση συμμετοχής
Οι επιλεγέντες υποψήφιοι θα πρέπει να:

• Ολοκληρώσουν την εγγραφή τους έως τις 30 Νοεμβρίου 2025
• Επιβεβαιώσουν τη συμμετοχή τους απο 1η Ιανουαρίου 2026, καταβάλλοντας προκαταβολή 200€ μέχρι 30 Ιανουαρίου 2026 (το ποσό δεν επιστρέφεται σε περίπτωση ακύρωσης).
• Το υπόλοιπο ποσό θα καταβληθεί κατά την έναρξη του master class.

Το αναλυτικό πρόγραμμα θα ανακοινωθεί στους συμμετέχοντες έως τα τέλη Απριλίου 2026 και θα περιλαμβάνει τις ώρες των ατομικών μαθημάτων, των εργαστηρίων και των συναυλιών .
