​Luca Torrigiani graduated with honors in piano, organ, and organ composition at the "L. Cherubini" Conservatory of Florence under the guidance of Maestros Fiuzzi and Mochi. He then earned a master's degree with the highest honors and commendation in the two-year specialist program at the same conservatory under Daniela De Santis. He attended international master classes with Piernarciso Masi, graduating in chamber music at the "Incontri col Maestro" international piano academy in Imola with a master diploma (highest score), and further honed his skills with Hector Moreno, Frank Wibaut, and Jörg Demus. His artistic career began in the early '90s with a prestigious tour in Japan, where he performed in major concert halls in Gifu, Nagoya, and Tokyo, including a private concert in honor of the imperial family. For several years, he has been focusing on the chamber music repertoire, performing in numerous concerts during important musical seasons. Together with Davide Bandieri (1st clarinet of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra), he founded the Prevert duo, winning many first prizes in national and international competitions. In March 2002, they received a special mention for the best performance of Brahms at the Pinerolo International Chamber Music Competition. Along with guitarist Lapo Vannucci and flautist Rieko Okuma, he founded the "Rospigliosi" trio, which has attracted the attention of numerous contemporary composers: Francesco De Santis, Luigi Giachino, Francesco Di Fiore, Albino Taggeo, Matteo Pittino have dedicated compositions to this ensemble. They have been invited to perform in major concert seasons in Italy and abroad (Romania, Spain, Japan...). Active in the educational field as well, he has taught at conservatories in Adria, Bari, Vibo Valentia, and Trapani. He is currently the main piano teacher at the "Pollini" Conservatory of Padua. He also frequently serves as a juror at prestigious national and international piano competitions and is the Artistic Director of the Rospigliosi Culture and Music Association, which has been promoting one of the most renowned national instrumental competitions for years.
