Pianist, Performer and Professor at the “P. Mascagni” Conservatory of Livorno
Born in Milan in 1988 into a family of musicians, she began studying piano at the age of six with Maestro Graziella Bianchi Leonardi and continued her formal training under Maestro Alberto Colombo, heir to the Milanese School of Alberto Mozzati. A pivotal moment in her artistic development came after obtaining her diploma from the Milan Conservatory, when she met Maestri Maria Tipo and Andrea Lucchesini. Under their guidance, she refined and deepened key aspects of her musical identity over several years. Praised for the sincerity and expressive sensitivity of her interpretations, she has earned recognition from esteemed musicians and public figures. A particularly significant encounter was with Aldo Ciccolini, whose masterclasses provided valuable inspiration, artistic insight, and personal encouragement. She completed her advanced degrees in Solo Performance and Chamber Music at the Brescia Conservatory, benefiting from the mentorship of Maestro Carlo Balzaretti. Her concert career began at an early age: she debuted with orchestra at just 9 years old, performing Haydn’s Piano Concerto in G Major with the Orchestra of L’Aquila. Since then, she has performed widely across Italy and abroad, appearing at prestigious venues and festivals such as the Società dei Concerti di Milano, La Verdi Symphony Orchestra of Milan, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, the Philharmonic Societies of Rovereto and Trento, the Teatro Grande Foundation in Brescia, Società Umanitaria in Milan, Ravello Festival, Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Festival di Cernobbio (alongside Paul Badura-Skoda), Fondazione Walton in Ischia, the MITO Festival, the Violin Museum Foundation in Cremona (Auditorium Arvedi), Roma Tor Vergata University, Camerata Musicale Salentina, and Fondazione Amadeus. She has also performed in the main concert halls of the Conservatories of Milan, Verona, Piacenza, Brescia, and in many other Italian cities. She previously performed for the Amici della Musica di Firenze in a concert of four-hand piano repertoire during the 2019–2020 season. Her work has also involved performances with orchestras such as the ORT (Orchestra della Toscana), La Verdi of Milan, the Abruzzo Symphony Orchestra, and the Italian Youth Orchestra. A highlight was performing Bach’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra BWV 1062 alongside Andrea Lucchesini at Teatro Niccolini in Florence as part of the 2016 Bach Project. A committed chamber musician, she regularly performs in various ensembles, often in piano duo with Giovanni Nesi. She has collaborated with Gioventù Musicale d’Italia (GMI), curating synesthetic concert experiences and developing themed performance projects. These include La Mèr Méditerranée, inspired by essays of Albert Camus, and a program dedicated to women composers in collaboration with soprano Anastasya Boldyreva. Her international appearances include concerts in Canada (notably at Vancouver's Playhouse, for which she was honored by the House of Commons of Canada), Portugal (Teatro Nacional de Coimbra), Austria (Mozarteum in Salzburg), Switzerland (Grand Hall of the Lugano Conservatory), San Marino, and Greece. She has received several prestigious awards, including Second Prize and the Audience Special Prize at the 23rd International Piano Competition "Rina Sala Gallo" in Monza (a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions and the Alink-Argerich Foundation). Other honors include the “M. Zana” Award in 2011 for best interpretation of Franz Liszt’s works (National Arts Competition), the “L. Marenzio” Brescia Prize in 2012, and First Prize at the International Competition of Ancona, where she was awarded a commemorative medal from the President of the Republic of Italy. Her discography includes a CD dedicated to W.A. Mozart’s Sonatas, released by Movimento Classical, and a CD recorded in duo with violinist Caterina Demetz, published by Amadeus magazine. She also appears in a DVD produced by the Mozarteum in Salzburg as part of a project on the complete Preludes of Chopin, Scriabin, and Debussy. Alongside her performance career, she has pursued classical studies and led educational workshops, masterclasses, and outreach events in collaboration with historic libraries, high schools, music academies, and institutes, often under the patronage of foreign consulates in Italy. She currently holds the position of Professor of Piano at the “P. Mascagni” Conservatory in Livorno. Her artistic choices are rooted in the defense and preservation of foundational values—those she was raised with—anchored in classical tradition, the pursuit of personal growth, and the humble contemplation of Beauty as the ultimate goal of artistic creation.
