Damiano Lazzaron is an Italian pianist, composer, and educator with a strong international profile. He graduated in Piano with highest honors in 1997 from the Conservatory “A. Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto, where he was also awarded as the best student of the Conservatory. He later completed advanced degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue and Composition (2001), and in Music and Performing Arts at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (2004), both with top marks. In 2006, he earned a Master’s Degree in Piano from the same Conservatory.
His artistic training includes studies with Francesco Bencivenga, Claudio Scannavini, Tatiana Zelikman, Massimo Somenzi, and Maurizio Pisati, among others.
Lazzaron has received numerous awards in national and international piano and composition competitions. As a pianist, he won prizes at major Italian competitions during the early stages of his career, while his activity as a composer has been recognized with awards and finalist positions in several international composition competitions between 2002 and 2020. His work has been distinguished for its originality, orchestral sensitivity, and expressive clarity.
He has collaborated with internationally renowned performers, conductors, composers, and vocal artists, and his music has been performed by orchestras and ensembles in Italy and abroad. His compositions are published by Armellin Musica, Carrara Edizioni, Sconfinarte, and Empateya Editions.
Alongside his artistic career, Damiano Lazzaron has an extensive teaching and administrative profile. He has taught at the Conservatories of Ferrara and Trieste and has been actively involved in international cultural cooperation projects as a project manager, developing collaborations with institutions in Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America.
He currently serves as Professor, Deputy Director, and Erasmus Coordinator at the Agostino Steffani Conservatory, where he combines artistic leadership with a strong commitment to international exchange, education, and contemporary music creation.
