Angelo Arciglione  Pianist
Praised by audiences and critics alike for the depth of his interpretations and refined sound palette, Angelo Arciglione is one of Italy’s most distinguished pianists of his generation. He has gained international recognition through prizes at major piano competitions, including San Marino, Hilton Head (USA), Iturbi (Valencia), Scriabin, Schumann, and many others.
Arciglione has performed in leading concert halls and festivals across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, including the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Gasteig in Munich, Steinway Hall in London, Palau de la Música in Valencia, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, and major venues in Japan, Brazil, and the United States. His performances have been broadcast by Rai, Sky Classica, and international radio networks.
Deeply committed to research and repertoire rediscovery, he has devoted special attention to 20th-century Italian music. His acclaimed recordings of previously unpublished works by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, released by Digressione Music, received outstanding international reviews. He has also performed rare works by Giorgio Federico Ghedini and collaborated with major orchestras and chamber ensembles.
A passionate chamber musician, Arciglione has worked with prominent singers, violinists, and ensembles, performing complete cycles of Mozart and Beethoven sonatas. He studied piano at the Conservatory of Cosenza and the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole under Maria Tipo, later completing advanced diplomas at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
Alongside his concert career, he is deeply engaged in music education. He is Professor of Piano at the Conservatory of Cosenza, frequently serves on international competition juries, and is Artistic Director of Campus Musica Acri, a summer academy dedicated to piano and chamber music.
