​Angelo Castaldo is born in Naples (1973), and after his early musical studies gained a diploma in Piano, Organ, Harpsichord and Choir Direction. He graduated “cum laude” in Literature at University “Federico II” in Naples, also getting a master's degree in Musicology and a degree of doctorate in Music’s Philology at the University in Rome.
He has played in most important italian cities and in Europe: Germany, Poland, Ukraine, England, Scotland, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Hungary, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia. In 2005 he has played also a tournèe in South America and in USA, including concerts in Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco, Berkeley, and for the New Year’s Concert at National Cathedral in Washington. In 2006 he has played an extensive concert-tour in Australia, including a concert at St. Andrews and St. Patrick Cathedrals in Sydney.
He was a jury member in several international competitions (Italy, Poland, Lithuania) and has held masterclasses in Germany, Russia, U.S.A, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia.
            A journalist since 1993, he was musical critic of daily “Napoli Sera” and the bimonthly “Arte Organaria e Organistica”.
He has edited many first publications of Italian composers (Bossi, Pergolesi, Cotrufo, Capocci, Napolitano….) and a treatise on Music Theory.
He recorded Cd’s in Germany, U.S.A., Australia.
He recorded a CD at the organ of Naples Cathedral, the city’s largest, and dedicated to the Neapolitan composers of the '900.Ascolta

He has been organist and choirmaster of St. Chiara’s Basilica, the most important church in Naples.
            He teaches at the Conservatory “Palestrina” in Cagliari, where he is the founder of the “International Organ Festival”, the “Historical Organ Society” and pro-rector.
