Alexios Pogrevnois holds a Clarinet Diploma (2011) from the Municipal Conservatory of Stavroupolis in Greece, FotisTerzis' class. He studied with Stergios Moschogiannis at the Music School of Thessaloniki and then was admitted to the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University in Corfu, from where he graduated (2014) with the Clarinet performance bachelor's degree studying with Giannis Samprovalakis. Along with his clarinet studies, he attended intensive chamber music lessons with Pr. Lambis Vassiliadis, Contemporary Music with Dimitra Trypani, and completed his Internship at the London Philharmonic Orchestra (England). Alexis also holds a Postgraduate level on clarinet performance from the Royal Conservatoire de Mons (Belgium) (2020) in the class of Ronald van Spaendonck. He recently graduated from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki - Greece, having studied  Early Music Music Traditions of the Mediterranean and Europe with Dimitrios-Menelaos Kountouras, specializing in the historical performance practice for the Early Clarinets and the Chalumeau. 

He was fortunate to acquire his first experience in orchestral music as a member of the State Youth Orchestra of Thessaloniki (2006) and immediately after to ceaselessly collaborate with orchestras in Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki) and abroad (Austria, France, Belgium) having performed in many major concert halls.

He participated in numerous seminars and festivals to enrich his repertoire on the instrument, looking always for new ways of expression and connection with different music cultures and people.

His enthusiasm for music archives,  researching and transcribing manuscripts and music scores, and the relation of technology and music, lead him to earn a corresponding role as an associate at the non-profit organization BeArtive
