Adriana Persico began her musical training at the Conservatorio Vincenzo Bellini di Catania, where she studied violin and piano.
In 2005, she continued her studies in Rome at the Saint Louis College of Music, focusing on Jazz and Pop Singing and specializing in Pop Singing and Vocal Technique. In collaboration with the institution, she contributed to the organization of major festivals, including Odio l’estate a Roma and Modica Jazz Fest in Sicily. She graduated in Singing from the same institution and later specialized in Early Childhood Music Education according to the Music Learning Theory developed by Edwin E. Gordon.
Her academic and pedagogical background integrates performance practice with research-based approaches to music learning and vocal development.
Throughout her professional career, she has combined artistic activity with educational commitment. As a performer, she has worked as a lead and backing vocalist, both live and in the studio, collaborating with internationally renowned artists such as John Cale, Mark Lanegan, Andrea Bocelli, Pharrell Williams, and John Legend, performing on prestigious Italian stages.
She collaborates with various musical ensembles and is currently the lead vocalist of Preachin’ The Blues and the female voice of the ethno/folk group Unnaddarè, with whom she recently released the album “Crivu.”
Since 2010, she has been actively engaged in music education.
Since 2012, she has been a faculty member at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, where she teaches singing and contributes to the academic training of professional vocalists.
