ABOUT MUSIC DIARIES
International Workshop Festival

It is a unique event due to the symbiosis between two types of meetings: the convention type, of an artistic nature, focusing on  specific musical instruments, and the traditional type of academic research conference, but focusing on a specific instrumental area.
The organization  aims to bridge the gap between artistic production and academic research, creating opportunities to combine artists’ and researchers’ knowledge, for mutual benefit.

This year we will host the Artistic Research School ON LINE ( ARS) 2nd edition, for first time in Greece.
The module was designed for:

1. artists who are interested in developing postgraduate research based on the creation of new artistic ‘products’ that allow them to sustain their practice whilst developing new knowledge in music;
2. artists interested in rethinking/developing old concepts or creating new ones for their artistic projects;​ teachers of performance/responsible for supervising academic projects that feature artistic production.

The event will be hosted in Panorama ( Municipal Conservatory of Pylaia -Chortiatis) from 5 to 9 of July 2021

Music Diaries this year will host great musicians that will offer first of all concerts and available limited places for  masterclasses with the artitsts
Also will be master classes and  educational programs for the following instruments:
Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Composition, Chamber Music and Voice.

MASTER CLASSES

We welcome students from all over the world to join Music Diaries as active members or listeners.

Every active member will have 3 private lessons with the guest artists plus free entrance to all festival activities
Every listener will have free entrance to all festival activities.

Piano students that will join the master classes can choose between the guest artists they prefer   (one lesson with each one)
For extra master classe lesson one students can have maximum 2 lessons  with extra cost
There will be a limited number of students.

Structure
 
The module was developed to be delivered in 4 full time days, five hours a day. Each day presents a different topic following a progressive sequence. The interaction is based on expositive sessions and collective discussions mediated by the chairs. All bibliography and resources used (e.g. powerpoint presentations) are available to the participants in a digital platform
